• Asharqia Chamber signs MoU with Building Technology Motivation Initiative (Housing Program) to support local content

    On Thursday morning, February 14, 2019, Asharqia Chamber signed a memorandum of understanding with the Initiative to Motivate Construction Technology (Housing Program) that aims at finding innovative technological innovations through attracting expertise in this field and seeking to localize these technologies and incorporate them in the Saudi market, which was hosted at the Chamber's headquarter.

     

    The memo was signed by Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Boali, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber, and Eng. Mahab bin Mohammed Saleh Benten, General Supervisor of the Building Technology Motivation Initiative, that in order to achieve the Vision of the Kingdom of 2030 and to support the objectives of the National Transition Program 2020.

     

    The Housing Program and the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program are two representatives of the Building Technology Motivation Initiative, which is one of the initiatives of the Private Sector Stimulus Plan to achieve the desired objectives of enabling the industry in the construction sector, in addition to promoting investment in human capital to be able to implement the outputs of these technologies.

    The MoU also aims to collaborate on attracting innovative building technologies through attracting local and international investments to develop the economy and localize the construction technology industry and contribute to raising local content by raising the production capacity of the local industry that are in line with the National Housing Strategy, which aims to develop and build suitable housing units that are bridging the gap between supply and demand in the Kingdom,

    It also aims to empower the industry in the housing sector through specialized workshops.​
